Valley Transit is actively seeking customer-focused individuals interested in a public transportation career. Utility Workers are responsible for limited vehicle maintenance such as fueling, checking fluid levels, washing, and minor building maintenance.

Qualifications

This position requires experience of a mechanical nature and some training beyond the high school level in automotive care or an equivalent combination of experience and training, an excellent driving record, and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License Class B with passenger endorsement. 

Salary

The hiring salary range for this union position is $20.21 - $24.29, plus an excellent fringe benefit package including paid time off, health, life, dental, and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is among the best funded and best managed public pension systems in the country.

Hours

Hours for this position are flexible Monday – Thursday, with fixed hours on Friday and Saturday. Friday hours are 1:00PM – 9:00PM. Saturday hours are 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
