LOCATION:  Green Bay Campus

STANDARD HOURS:  Approximately 16 hours/week to include the following: Monday through Thursday from 2p.m. to 6p.m. with flexibility to work other shifts/hours as needed.

MINIMUM STARTING PAY RATE:  $15.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY 

Provide exceptional customer service while supporting the General Studies department. Strong interpersonal skills, use of technology, and the ability to communicate in all forms are vital in this role.  The ability to work independently and effectively under pressure while adapting to changing work priorities is essential.  In this job share role, you will work collaboratively with the front desk, support, faculty, and administrative teams to support students in their success and the college community.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Communicate and support internal and external stakeholders using all identified modalities.  Utilize college resources and internal systems to resolve customer inquiries. Serve as resource for students, faculty, administration, and staff.
  • Conduct student outreach initiatives for student success, enrollment, and retention purposes. Refer students to appropriate college service. Communicate student progress to applicable college-wide entities as appropriate.
  • Create and update student information utilizing various NWTC systems. Process student enrollments. Perform student and/or facility related system functions as applicable. Communicate class and wait list opportunities and/or availability.
  • Process absences, class changes, and/or cancellations. Notify students and provide support using multiple delivery systems.
  • Design and develop reports, correspondence, and databases from verbal direction.
  • Coordinate and communicate the sharing of information and customer needs to ensure the highest quality of service is obtained. Train, review, and update various team and department procedures.
  • Conduct syllabi intake, tracking, and review process. Review syllabi to ensure all meet the college standards for student success and transferability purposes. Communicate syllabi needs as appropriate.
  • Serve in a cross-functional capacity to assist teams within General Studies.
  • Prepare for department and college-wide events.
  • Maintain office supply inventories. Organize, clean, and restock general studies spaces. Maintain classroom needs such as access, restocking, inventory, and room scheduling, etc.
  • Perform other duties as needed in support of the college’s mission, vision, and values.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:   Administrative Assistant, Office Assistant, or Business degree is preferred. 

Experience:  Minimum of 2 years working in an office environment.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Comfortable with Outlook calendars, tasks and basic email functions.

Bilingual – fluent English and Spanish, preferred.
