PARATRANSIT COORDINATOR

Valley Transit is actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a ParaTransit Coordinator.  This critical role is responsible for managing paratransit providers and contracts, performing administrative functions and providing relief for the supervision of on‑street operations of the Valley Transit System. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks, and possess strong leadership skills. The position works under the direction of the Assistant General Manager

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Knowledge and experience with DOT/FTA regulations, safety, passenger relations and transit routes/schedules
• Ability to manage workload effectively including planning, organizing, prioritizing, attention to details and multi-tasking
• Ability to monitor and supervise on-street operations of a public transit system

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Transportation Planning or related field with a minimum of three to five years public transportation supervisory and administration experience preferred

Salary The hiring salary range for this full-time position is $30.15 - $45.23, plus an excellent fringe benefit package including paid time off, health, life, dental, and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is among the best-funded and best-managed public pension systems in the country.

Hours

Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates are subject to overtime as required to meet the needs of the position and the department.
