Northwood Technical College is seeking applications for a full-time Nursing Admissions Specialist at any of our four campus locations. (Ashland, New Richmond, Rice Lake or Superior)
The Nursing Admissions Specialist serves as the central point of contact for both students and admissions staff for ATI Launch (Academic Preparedness Program), waitlist decisions and communications, and re-entry student management. This position actively monitors and manages students in the enrollment funnel in the Associate Degree Nursing program and communicates directly with both students and admissions staff. The specialist will work closely with the Associate Degree Nursing Program (ADN) dean and program navigator.
*This position involves duties that could be performed in a remote or off-site environment. Occasional campus-based duties require scheduled travel to all four campuses throughout the year.
Remote work arrangements are subject to state employment laws. Employees residing in certain states, including Minnesota, may have additional on-campus work requirements.

- Communicate admissions requirements to students in the ADN program enrollment funnel
- Monitor student progress and manage communications to students
- Create documentation to help clarify admissions process and requirements
- Work directly with ATI Launch to manage student accounts
- Serve as a point of contact for students for questions related to ATI Launch and other admissions and program requirements
- Regularly communicate with students to ensure ATI Launch completion
- Refer students to support services
- Manage and serve as the central contact point for the waitlist process
- Manage and serve as the central contact point for all entry points for the ADN program including new, re-entry, transfer, dismissed, LPN to ADN, etc.
- Manage communications related to the ADN program waitlist at all campuses to ensure compliance with TCS 10
- Create and present informational sessions
- Maintain and update student records ensuring accurate documentation of customer interactions in the CRM
- Conduct both in-person and virtual meetings with students
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Degree & Experience Required:
- Associate’s degree in related field
- Three years related work experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to effectively apply technology to tasks and projects
- Ability to contribute to a team environment while maintaining positivity and professionalism
- Ability to operate independently while providing assistance to the instructional process in accordance with the educational objectives of the College
- Strong customer service skills that focus on creative problem solving
- Time management skills that apply organization and prioritization demonstrating the ability to multitask and work independently
- Ability to obtain driver’s license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy
Salary
FY27 Salary - Grade I - $24.65 / hour
