Managerial Accounting Coordinator
The City of Appleton is currently accepting applications for a vacancy in the Public Works Department. This is a highly technical and professional position that provides management and leadership in the development and administration of Department of Public Works annual operating and capital budgets. Responsible for financial reporting, internal accounting, customer service management, inventory and purchasing systems and billing functions. Must be able to deal effectively with people both in person and over the telephone. The individual will also be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work well under pressure and be a team player. The incumbent works under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration or related field, three to five years of experience in a public agency setting, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Salary
The 2025 hiring salary range for this position is $59,392 - $83,148 annually, plus an excellent fringe benefit package including paid time off, health, life, dental, and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is among the best funded and best managed public pension systems in the country.
