Manager, KIVA & Alternative Lending
Overview:
This full-time leadership role oversees and grows WWBIC’s KIVA (0% interest microloan) program across Wisconsin. The manager ensures strong program performance, builds partnerships, and helps underserved entrepreneurs access funding and resources.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and expand the statewide KIVA program
- Develop outreach strategies to increase awareness and participation
- Ensure program goals, funder requirements, and client outcomes are met
Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as main contact with KIVA USA
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders
- Manage reporting, compliance, and funder deliverables
Client Support & Outreach
- Help small business owners access loans, training, and financial education
- Lead workshops, trainings, and community outreach efforts
- Coordinate events, marketing, and program activities
Program Development
- Support funding opportunities and development efforts
- Manage partnerships, advisory council engagement, and program improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years in economic development or business
- Experience managing programs and trainings
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license (travel required)
- Knowledge of small business or microenterprise development preferred
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based (Madison, WI) with regular in-state travel
- Occasional evenings and weekends required
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Work is generally more sedentary in nature with movement required.
· Work is primarily performed within an office environment with standard office equipment; regular travel is required. Normally, in the state of Wisconsin.
· Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. Must have clarity of vision. Bilingual is plus, but not mandatory.
