Reports To: Dean, College of Advanced Manufacturing & Skilled Trades
Travel: 4 days per month
LOCATION: Green Bay
STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30 pm; Flexibility required to include other hours, as necessary.
ANTICIPATED START DATE: June or July 2026
STARTING PAY RANGE: $25.81 to $31 per hour
*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be placed within the range based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY
Skilled CNC technician to oversee and maintain CNC equipment in our Machine Tool / CNC lab. Ensure proper operation and provide preventative maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, grinders and other CNC machinery used for instructional purposes. Act as ambassador to the CNC/Machine Tool Program through demonstration and recruitment activities during organized events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assist and monitor students as needed in the CNC / Machine Tool programs.
• Operate, program, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair the CNC machines located in multiple labs across the district.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and make repairs and adjustments as needed.
• Work with instructors to ensure lab equipment supports curriculum needs.
• Maintain inventory of tooling, materials, manuals and parts for CNC machinery.
• Ensure CNC machines and lab space met safety standards.
• Collaborate with other lab technicians on department projects.
• Promote the machine tool/CNC program and other manufacturing and trades related the programs offered by NWTC at various public functions and events, e.g. Job fairs, recruiting events, open houses, and tours.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Technical Degree in Machine Tool, CNC or related field.
• Five years of related experience
• Microsoft Office Suite Word and Outlook
• Class A CDL, Combination Vehicle endorsement
• Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable under the districts standard insurance policy terms.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Mobility: Ability to move around the campus to attend meetings and events. In addition, must be able to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery. May be required to work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.
• Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using hands and fingers to handle or operate office equipment, tools, controls, and/or heavy equipment and machinery. Capability to push, pull, and/or maneuver equipment as needed.
• PPE: To wear and work in personnel protective equipment as needed
• Heavy Lifting: Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Visual and Auditory: Ability to read documents and communicate effectively with students and staff.
