The Appleton Public Library, the Wisconsin Library of the Year for 2025, is seeking a Librarian - Adult Services and Engagement to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time exempt position in the Community Partnerships section of the library. Work involves community engagement and collaboration through outreach, services, and partnerships; coordinating adult and intergenerational programming and displays; providing reference and readers' advisory services; participating in general and reference collection development; and working as a member of the Community Partnerships team. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Community Partnerships Supervisor. Regular evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications 

Requires some experience in public library service and a Master's Degree in Library Science, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Salary

The starting salary for this position is $60,579 annually with the ability to earn up to $84,811 annually, plus an excellent fringe benefit package including paid time off, health, life, dental, and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is among the best funded and best managed public pension systems in the country. Employees, spouses, and dependents over the age of 12 months who are covered on the City’s medical plan are eligible to use the Connecting Care Clinic (CCC). The CCC provides primary and acute care services and physical therapy at no cost to the patient.
