WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE AN EVP, RETAIL GROUP LEADER
As the EVP, Retail Group Leader, you will hold overall responsibility for the strategic development and execution necessary to meet our bank's organic growth demands. In this influential role, you will lead the retail, residential mortgage, and investment advisory leaders, ensuring the effective management of our day-to-day strategy. Your oversight will encompass a diverse range of retail business lines, including consumer deposit and loan services, digital and customer contact center operations, as well as investment advisory services tailored to our local consumer customers. Additionally, you will support commercial businesses and private banking clients in their deposit transactions, reinforcing our commitment to customer focus and accountability. By driving these initiatives, you will play a crucial role in elevating our retail banking presence while fostering a culture of teamwork and knowledge throughout the organization.
ARE YOU THE EVP, RETAIL GROUP LEADER WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
To excel as the EVP, Retail Group Leader, a strong foundational skill set is essential. A Bachelor's degree accompanied by a minimum of 10 years of retail leadership experience within a financial institution. Your proven track record of above-average sales performance in a retail financial service setting will be pivotal for demonstrating market share growth. A comprehensive understanding of the mortgage lending function, including the workflow process and the sale of loans to the secondary market, is crucial. Additionally, familiarity with consumer compliance regulatory guidelines pertaining to consumer and residential mortgage banking is necessary for effective oversight.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills will facilitate collaboration with team members. Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities will empower you to navigate the complexities of retail banking while adhering to the bank's risk parameters, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related area.
- 10 years of retail leadership experience in a financial institution.
- Above average prior sales performance in a retail financial service setting.
- Understanding of the mortgage lending function to show a thorough understanding of the workflow process and sale of loans to secondary market.
- Demonstrated understanding of consumer compliance regulatory guidelines in consumer and residential mortgage banking.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving ability.
