what would you do as a Data Analyst?
As a Data Analyst at Peoples State Bank, you'll seamlessly blend your technical expertise with your keen interpersonal skills to turn data into actionable insights that inform and solve business problems. You'll be responsible for the entire data lifecycle, from collecting and cleaning to analyzing and interpreting, all with the goal of identifying trends and patterns that empower our decision-making processes. By developing innovative data analytics and reporting solutions, you’ll directly address the dynamic needs of our business on a regular basis. Collaborating closely with our leaders, you will gather requirements and fulfill requests, ensuring that our data-driven approach is firmly aligned with our customer-focused mission.

Are you a good fit for this Data Analyst job?
To excel as a Data Analyst at Peoples State Bank, you'll need a solid foundation backed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Your working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) will be essential, as you'll frequently clean, transform, and prepare data for insightful analysis. A knack for identifying and solving data-related issues is vital, along with the ability to wield complex query statements and advanced database tools effectively.
Experience in writing financial reports using common report writing utilities will set you apart, especially if you come with a background in financial services. Most importantly, excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills will ensure your insights resonate with our teams and help elevate our customer-centric approach!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Data Science, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Ability to clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis.
- Ability to identify and solve data-related issues.
- Ability to use complex query statements and advanced database tools.
- Experience with writing financial reports using common report writing utilities.
- Prior experience in financial services preferred.
- Experience in Jack Henry Silverlake suite of products a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
