A community with no history has no use for a future. You might not know much about the lives, loves, exploits, and achievements of LGBTQ+ people across time and space—people maybe not too different from yourself. That silence is not self-imposed and it is not an accident.

The mission of Expanding Horizons is to underscore the ongoing importance of our queer history, both as a community and a nation, through speaking engagements, public history exhibits, workshops, and community leadership.
