    Julie C. Hancock’s 10 years practicing law began in-house for a global corporation. Currently, she is Founder of Your Virtual Advocate. Expertise includes immigration, entertainment, copyright, trademark, constitutional issues, federal election law, and business operations. She takes pride in her subscription-based general counsel services to creative professionals, “Creators LegalScription”, providin peace of mind to Creatives for less than one billable hour per month.

    Before law school, Julie held leadership roles in all facets of business including communications, marketing, operations, compliance, and non-profit fundraising. Her breadth of experience is key to offering exceptional, wide-ranging legal services and a unique perspective to clients. Her responsiveness, common sense, and out-of-the-box approach to challenging issues is met with praise. Her work with social issues and combating misinformation fuels her passion. She supports efforts to protect and expand access to the ballot and regularly volunteers with voter protection efforts. In 2017, she volunteered her time and expertise to coordinate lawyers worldwide to help those affected by the travel ban.

    Julie received her bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University in Boston, and her JD from Barry University in Orlando. She earned a certificate in Entertainment Law from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, and studied international intellectual property law in Dublin, Ireland at UCD. Julie belongs to the American Constitution Society, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and Main Street Alliance
