Bay Area Council on Gender Diversity

Our mission is ''To provide support, education, and advocacy for transgender persons, their families and allies.'' We are an all volunteer, NE Wis, IRS recognized 501c(3) nonprofit organization. We have three primary service focus areas 1) Transgender or gender fluid nonbinary adults through a monthly social support gathering on the first Thursday of each month and other special programs. 2) Through the Bay Area Trans Youth Alliance (BATYA) who offer a monthly Social Support program for trans youth and other opportunities for families and allies, and 3) through the Trans Art Collaborative - a group of trans artists who have offered The Transperience a multi-medium and digital art immersion experience and have used art as medium for raising awareness re: the trans experience.
