Queer Media Club

We're going to start broadening our scope and expanding from a book club to a media club! Instead of just books, we'd love to hear your thoughts on whatever queer movies, TV, music, and any other media you're consuming! We'll be meeting via Google Meet - cameras optional. This month, our focus piece is 'The Birdcage' a film starring Nathan Lane and Robin Williams. The 1996 film, based off the French play 'La Cage aux Folles,' follows a gay couple who pretend to be straight to meet the conservative parents of their son's finance. There are multiple copies of the film available in the Waukesha Public Library system, plus it is available to stream on Amazon Prime and YouTube. Even if you don't end up finishing this film, feel free to come talk about anything else you've been enjoying!
