Thursday, April 30, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Business identity theft is a growing crime in the United States. In 2019, Dun & Bradstreet saw more than a 100% increase in business identity theft. For 2020, the company estimates an overall 258% spike in the crime. The more you learn about it, the less vulnerable you and your business are. Ben Merens of The Wisconsin Bureau of Consumer Protection will explain the different types of business identity theft, how to recognize it, and steps you can take to protect your business.

Business Identity Theft: Privacy Protection for Businesses is part of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber’s L.E.A.D Series, a virtual program for chamber members, focused on giving you the tools and resources you need to succeed in business. We’ll help you learn new information, elevate your skills, achieve new understanding, and deliver for your business.
