Join us for a webinar on planning ahead for what the new administration might mean for LGBTQ individuals and families.
This webinar will be led by Erin Fay, an LGBTQ lawyer in the greater Milwaukee area focusing on estate planning and family planning, including adoption and surrogacy. This Zoom will discuss a good "plan of action" to secure your individual and family needs.
Erin will discuss the necessity of an estate plan with the LGBTQ+ community in mind, particularly to make sure you have powers of attorney and wills in place as well as your real estate properly titled. Erin will discuss parentage for LGBTQ families, such as parentage orders and confirmatory/second parent adoption.
Erin will also discuss gender identity and options for affirming legal actions. She will also discuss the status and security of marriage equality and other legal protections. Please note that this is a more general discussion--individual facts may vary the recommendations. There will be time for questions and answers!

- Now is the time to secure your estate planning needs. Create or update your wills, healthcare powers of attorney, and financial powers of attorney. Real estate and other large assets should be discussed as to proper titling and transfer of title.
- Legal parentage is a process?simply being listed as a "parent" on the birth certificate is not an order of parentage.
- Trans legal issues, including name changes and gender identity.
