Event Description:
You are invited to the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Milwaukee Women's Leadership Luncheon.

We are thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker for this year's luncheon is Amy Chionchio, President & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee.

Amy Chionchio was named president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Metro Milwaukee in 2007. Her professional career includes more than 25 years of management experience in Milwaukee’s nonprofit arena. Recognized for outstanding leadership skills, Amy has built and managed integrated fundraising and management teams, established long-term and productive community/business partnerships, and executed solution-driven strategic and tactical plans.

Prior to coming to BBBS, Amy served as vice president of marketing for Milwaukee’s United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), one of the largest arts funding organizations in the country. From 1995-2005 Chionchio served the Milwaukee Public Museum in senior leadership positions, including senior vice president and chief marketing officer, and director of the Humphrey IMAX Dome Theater.

Since coming to BBBS, Amy has restructured the leadership team, realigning staff to better support a service-delivery model that can respond to sustainable growth within a responsible and prudent financial structure. In 2018, for the third consecutive year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America presented the prestigious Pinnacle Award to Big Brother Sisters of Metro Milwaukee. This award is the highest honor a Big Brothers Big Sisters affiliate can attain and is achieved through delivering exceptional program metrics and outcomes, including high retention rates, high quality case management, and fiscal stability. BBBS of Metro Milwaukee is the only agency in the nation—of nearly 300—to receive the Pinnacle Award three years in a row.

Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a master’s degree in business management, from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee. She attended the Harvard Business School on a scholarship for Strategic Perspectives in Non-profit Management in 2011. Amy also attended the New Strategies Program at Georgetown University in 2018.

This event will feature networking from 11:30 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch, and then the keynote and dialogue. We hope you'll be able to make it.
