The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce is proud to be a community partner for Milwaukee's Film Showing of Viva.
From the description of the film: "Jesus, alone in the world and eking out a hardscrabble existence as a Havana hairdresser tending to the wigs of drag performers at a local nightclub, dreams of one day taking the stage himself. When Jesus is finally given the opportunity to inhabit his alter ego, Viva, his abusive father returns to his life after 15 years away with stern disapproval of Jesus’ drag show aspirations. A profound window into modern Cuba through the prism of a strained relationship between a young gay man and his estranged father, Viva is an exquisitely tender portrait of acceptance and personal growth with remarkable performances from top to bottom."
