From the description of the film: "Fernando, an ornithologist on a solo expedition, finds himself isolated from the outside world when his camp and kayak are both lost in short order. As he attempts to get himself back on the beaten path he encounters a series of inexplicable obstacles that push him toward enlightenment. A queer retelling of the story of St. Anthony (think a gay, Catholic, Portuguese variation on The Blair Witch Project and you're halfway there), The Ornithologist is a spooky, sexy, mind-boggling journey of self-discovery in service of a truly singular vision."
