MARKETPLACE Wisconsin, the Governor’s Conference on Diverse Business Development, is a one-stop shop for networking, learning and meetings that result in new business for minority-owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned and LGBTQ-owned companies as well as buyers and service providers that want to connect with them.
This year’s MARKETPLACE will be Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Thursday, Oct. 24 at Potawatomi Hotel & Conference Center in Milwaukee. On Wednesday, attendees have the option to sign up for The Contracting Academy in the morning and workshops in the afternoon. Wednesday evening brings the 38th Annual MARKETPLACE Reception, which remarks from Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes (invited) and an awards program.
Thursday starts with the Governor’s Awards Breakfast, including remarks by Governor Tony Evers (invited). Afterward, the Expo Hall opens, where attendees can meet with dozens of government and corporate buyers and learn about business funding and assistance resources. A hallmark of the event are one-on-one buyer meetings, which provide suppliers with a unique opportunity to meeting with a variety of federal, state and local government buyers as well as corporate buyers.
