Multiple Grammy-Award winner Sharon Isbin joins the Madison Symphony for a thrilling performance. Her internationally-acclaimed virtuosity and versatility is on display in this program of contrasts: the jazz idioms of the American Brubeck alongside the lush romanticism of the Spaniard Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez. These works are followed by two ballet suites: Copland’s Billy the Kid Suite and Falla’s Three-Cornered Hat. Student rush tickets are available for $12-$18 at the Overture Center Box Office on the day of the concert. Enjoy a 30-minute talk by music experts starting one hour before each concert in Overture Hall, free to ticketholders.
