Love and Stonewall Perfect Harmony Men's Chorus Spring Concert featuring the Wisconsin premiere of "Quiet No More: A Choral Celebration of Stonewall" Fifty years ago this June, bar patrons and community members said “no more!” to a police raid of the Stonewall Inn and fought back, starting the modern LGBTQ rights movement. PHMC’s spring concert titled “Love and Stonewall” features as centerpiece the multi-movement piece “Quiet No More: A Choral Celebration of Stonewall,” which commemorates that anniversary. PHMC and other LGBTQ choruses across the United States, led by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and the New York Gay Men’s Chorus, jointly commissioned “Quiet No More.” The work includes movements by a diverse group of LGBTQ composers, and narration by guest speakers setting the atmosphere leading up to the Stonewall Uprising. The other theme of the concert is Love. Songs by both the full chorus and the outreach ensemble Common Chords consider Love in various forms…of self, of others, of country. Save up to $5 per ticket! Tickets purchased in advance are $20 each. Tickets purchased at the door are $25. www.PerfectHarmonyChorus.org
