You’re invited to join the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber for a special Hunger Task Force Volunteer Group Harvest on Saturday, July 7, from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the Hunger TaskForce Farm (9000 S. 68th Street, Franklin, WI 53132), followed by lunch in the visitor’s center.
The Hunger Task Force is a member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and is the only food bank in Wisconsin to operate a farm for the express purpose of growing fresh produce to feed the hungry. All of the fresh produce harvested from their fields is distributed free of charge throughout our network of food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters across Southeastern Wisconsin. Volunteers are essential in making this happen.
Let’s join together as a Chamber to make an impact in our community!
Please register in advance as space is limited. Upon registration, we will share information about volunteer guidelines and check-in details. If you have any questions, or would like to learn more about this event, please contact Annie Schmitz at 414-581-2631 or annie@wislgbtchamber.com.
