I worked at the family business, Metcalfe Sentry, until I graduated from Alverno College in 1990 with a BS in Nursing. My Nursing career started at Children’s Hospital in orthopedic and burn care, then went to Green Tree Health Care Center, where I founded a HIV unit, to Mt. Sinai in their Cardiology ICU Unit. It is there where I meet my husband Kevin. I moved to Minneapolis in 1995 to attend graduate school. I graduated from Minneapolis School of Anesthesia in 1998 then worked at the University for 7 years. Meanwhile I married Kevin and had a daughter with the help of fertility treatments. After receiving the bad news that my father had terminal cancer, the family moved to Maui. What a gift! I worked part time in Anesthesia and got to spend my fathers last days with him. After Dad’s death we moved back to Wisconsin Rapids. I have been working at a rural hospital for the last 12 years in Anesthesia. My interests include boating, snow skiing, and traveling. Most of travels are planned around food. My favorite dish is Clam Linguini on egg pasta. It was one of my fathers favorite dishes and he loved to make it for family gathers.
