?It was always a good night when noodles were cooked, and fortunately with 7 children to feed that was pretty often. Raised in a big family in the Milwaukee area, sights for travel were in motion by joining the Air Force at 17. Training to be a mechanic taught early on that life is a collection of skills. Deanna continued pursing business through the financial and racing industries in TX, AZ & CA before settling into the wine industry. Through a personal experience and witnessing other women’s experiences with breast cancer, Deanna created a nonprofit “Savage Support” as a tangible way to offer help to those in the same situation. Deanna is still a fan of travel far and wide, live music and theater, creative and comfort foods. Volunteering, settling into a good book (or 3), training for triathlon are other favorite ways to spend her time. ?The dish Ragu Bolognese with mushrooms stems back to a favorite, simple comfort food that a collection of Mother’s created in their kitchen. In my own home as a child and today, in the kitchens of those women who became like a Mother to me. It satisfies my tummy and my soul with it’s warmth. Deanna’s dish will be Lamb Bolognese over Whole Wheat Papperdelle. We will be offering a 3 course dinner with wines from Deanna’s portfolio $50 Deanna will be sharing her experience with breast cancer, her strives of setting a goal and accomplishing starting a non-profit foundation and of course her love of music, travel and wine.
