You are invited to join the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce for our first annual Central Wisconsin Business Equality Conference on Tuesday, October 16, 2016 from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m in Stevens Point.
At the event, attendees will have the chance to network with other business professionals from around the state, learn about the importance of diversity in the workplace, and attend breakout sessions designed to help your business grow and thrive.
Our keynote speaker will be Kathy Flores, Statewide Program Coordinator at Diverse & Resilient. In the early 1990s, Kathy began her career at Kimberly-Clark Corporation focused on Diversity and Inclusion followed by her work as Harmony Cafe's first program director, a program of Goodwill Industries that provided support groups for LGBTQ individuals. She has a long history of working with survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault and hate crimes and worked at Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs in Appleton for 8 years as the Community Education and Outreach Advocate helping educate health care providers, advocates, faith leaders, employers and more about domestic violence and sexual assault. In her most visible role to date, Kathy spent 7 years as the City of Appleton's Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator. In August 2016, Kathy begin her new role with Diverse & Resilient as the statewide coordinator addressing Intimate Partner and Community Violence within the LGBTQ community.
