Arts on Point Gallery Weekend

Gay-friendly Mineral Point, Wisconsin, population 2,500 with gay owned restaurants, art galleries, shops, and lodging venues invites you to an art- filled weekend spanning Friday through Sunday including the first Arts 'n Cheese Crawl on Saturday from 4 pm - 8 pm. Twenty two art galleries & several businessses will serve samples of all 37 varieties of World Champion Hooks’ Cheese, a different variety at each location. On Friday, from 4-8 pm spin the “Squeaky Wheel” to win Hooks’ s fresh curds & lots of other prizes. Enter a free drawing to win Hook’s famous 15 yr, $50 lb. cheddar. Galleries & shops will open Fri & Sat evening for late shopping thru Sunday afternoon. Enjoy exhibit openings, artist receptions and demonstrations, evening music performances Friday & Saturday, music in the park Saturday afternoon, shopping specials, classic film, free art workshops, historic tours, a chance to try your hand at a potters wheel or a spinning wheel or a community tapestry & more.
