Event Description:
You are invited to join the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce for our 4th annual LGBT Business Equality Summit on Thursday, May 17 from 8:00 to 11:45 a.m. in Milwaukee at ManpowerGroup's corporate headquarters.

At the event, attendees will have the chance to network with other business professionals from around the state, hear remarks from a state and national leaders about the importance of the LGBT business community, and attend breakout sessions designed to help your business grow and thrive.

Our opening plenary speaker is Catherine Jacobson, President & Chief Executive Officer for Froedtert Health. Jacobson joined Froedtert Health in 2010 as executive vice president of finance and strategy, chief financial officer and chief strategy officer. She was promoted in 2011, becoming President and in 2012, she assumed the CEO role. Prior to joining Froedtert Health, Jacobson spent 22 years at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago in various leadership roles. She was recognized as a Women of Influence by the Milwaukee Business Journal in 2013 and received an honorable mention as Executive of the Year in 2014 and 2016. Jacobson received an honorary degree of Doctor of Healthcare Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2015.

Following the keynote remarks, we'll have a series of breakout sessions. A detailed list of breakout sessions will be made available soon.

Our closing plenary speaker is Tiffany Hudson. Tiffany Hudson is co-founder of The Nova Collective, a corporate learning and communications firm that delivers engaging content and experiential training for leading organizations -- all with an explicit focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. They work with F1000 organizations to create cultural evolutions and center the voices of the too-often-marginalized.

Tiffany's passion for true equity in the workplace propelled her to quit her promising corporate career, and bring her passion and working life together to challenge the ideas of "Business As Usual".

As a Black lesbian, Tiffany has witnessed inequity throughout her journey and has refused to have her identities minimized along the way. She has been, and remains, determined to succeed because of her unique perspective and experiences - not in spite of them. During this session, Tiffany will share her journey of entrepreneurship and offer guiding principles and practices for owning your success as an LGBT+ entrepreneur.
